Overview

A restaurant-run venue in the heart of the Seacoast

Exeter sits at the center of the New Hampshire Seacoast region. Portsmouth is twenty minutes north, Hampton Beach is fifteen minutes east, Newburyport, Massachusetts is twenty minutes south, and Boston Logan Airport is under an hour away via I-95. Out-of-town guests land close to hotels, restaurants, and things to do, which makes MILA a natural home base for a full wedding weekend. MILA gives couples a single address for the whole day, a ceremony spot, a cocktail lounge, a dining room, and a covered terrace with a fireplace, without moving between vendors or venues.
The White Apron's kitchen runs the entire event. There is no outside caterer to coordinate and no rented kitchen equipment to track down. The same team that plates your entrée sets your tables, pours your wine, and clears your glassware, all in-house.
Because MILA holds one wedding per date, your event has full use of the building. No other party shares the lounge, the terrace, or the kitchen staff on your day.

Why Couples Choose MILA

More than a room for the night

MILA is The White Apron's dedicated event home, backed by more than twenty years
of Seacoast catering experience. A few things that come with every booking.

5.0

"AMAZING! Every single detail was taken care of, and we had the most carefree day. Not one plate was left with any leftovers." Couples and guests rate MILA a perfect 5.0 stars on WeddingWire, most often praising the food, the staff, and feeling taken care of.

A Tasting Before You Commit

Every couple sits down for a private tasting at The White Apron kitchen ahead of the big day, a broad sample of the menu so there's no guesswork about seasoning or presentation when it counts.

Open Year-Round, Seven Days a Week

Events run every day of the week, in every season. The covered terrace and fireplace make fall and winter dates just as viable as a summer weekend.

The Name Behind the Venue

MILA is short for Milagros, Spanish for "miracles," and honors owner Liz Curcio's grandmother, who ran a beloved bakery for over fifty years. That same warmth carries through the venue today.

A Welcoming Space for Every Couple

MILA is proud to host LGBTQ+ celebrations and works with every couple and family to build the day they envision.

Friday / Sunday Minimum

  • Plan Your Day

    From proposal to final payment

Weddings at MILA are typically booked a year or more out, so the schedule below is built
for couples still finalizing their guest list and menu.

    01
    Inquire and hold your date

A proposal automatically places a complimentary soft hold on your date and gives you right of first refusal. If another couple wants the same date, you get 48 hours to decide before it opens back up.

    02
Sign your contract and pay the reservation fee

A signed contract and deposit are the only way to officially secure the date. Booking six months or more out requires 25% down; five months or less requires 50%; under a month requires payment in full.

    03
    Lock in your menu

Menu changes are welcome right up until two months before the event, when the final menu and any related pricing adjustments are due.

    04
    Confirm your final guest count

Your guaranteed guest count is due two weeks out. You can raise it after contracting, but the number you sign for is the floor, so it pays to guarantee 10 to 15% under your expected maximum.

    05
    Settle the final payment

The balance is due one week before your event, paid by check.

    Kids and vendor meals

  • Children's meals are $25 each, one selection for the whole group: mac n' cheese and chicken fingers, flatbread pizza, chicken fingers and fries, pasta with tomato sauce, or grilled cheese and fries.
  • Children 12 and under eating the adult menu are charged half price, across all service styles.
  • Vendor meals run $40 per person, served chef's choice after guests are served. Dietary needs or timing requests are accommodated on request.

  • Good to know before you book

  • Décor, florals, lighting, and printed menus are handled through outside vendors; MILA does not offer decorating services.
  • The team can recommend vendors they have worked with before.
  • Not permitted on site: smoking or vaping, leaving with alcohol, drilling or nailing into walls, adhesives on the floor, and confetti or glitter.
