MILA by The White Apron is a full-service wedding venue located at One Franklin Street in historic downtown Exeter, New Hampshire — just minutes from the New Hampshire Seacoast. Backed by over 20 years of premier catering experience through The White Apron, MILA combines an elegant, intimate space with chef-driven food and seamless all-inclusive service. The venue hosts weddings for up to 120 guests, seated, and 200 guests, cocktail style, with events available 7-days a week throughout the year.

Executive Chef Cameron Heins trained at Johnson & Wales University and has cooked at some of New England's finest restaurants. Pastry Chef Devon Loader trained at the École Nationale Supérieure de Pâtisserie in France. Founders Jay and Liz Curcio are both Culinary Institute of America graduates. Couples don't just hire a venue — they hire one of New England's most experienced event culinary teams.

Every couple receives a private tasting at The White Apron Kitchen before their event. The tasting menu will be a broad sampling of what we have to offer. Our chef has designed the tasting so you can get an idea of how we prepare, season, and present the food - so nothing is left to guesswork on the day that matters most.
MILA's interiors feature coffered ceilings, square pillars, and geometrically contrasting windows that create warmth and visual depth in every season. The Terrace with Fire Pit and the outdoor lawn with decorative stone wall give couples outdoor options that make New Hampshire's fall, winter, spring, and summer equally stunning backdrops.
Exeter sits at the center of the New Hampshire Seacoast region. Portsmouth is 20 minutes north, Hampton Beach is 15 minutes east, Newburyport, Massachusetts is 20 minutes south, and Boston Logan Airport is 55 minutes via I-95. The name MILA — pronounced "mee:lah" — is short for Milagros, meaning "miracles" in Spanish. It honors Liz Curcio's grandmother, a hardworking, hospitable entrepreneur who ran a beloved bakery for over 50 years alongside her husband. That spirit of warmth, hospitality, and dedication to family runs through everything MILA does.

Features & Amenities
Every wedding receives exclusive use of all areas of MILA — the Dining Room, Lounge, Terrace with Fireplace, and VIP Suite. The venue fee ranges depending on guest count and set up needs, and includes exclusive use of the space, onsite parking and parking attendant, coat check, tables, chairs, house linen, china, flatware, and glassware.
MILA supports both long banquet tables and round tables, configured to suit the couple's preference and event style. The team works directly with each couple to build a custom floor plan. The layout accommodates a ceremony, cocktail hour, and seated reception all within the same event flow.
A dedicated VIP Suite is included with every wedding booking. The Knot describes it as a bright, airy space with three professional beauty stations and a comfortable lounge — a private, relaxed environment where the wedding party can prepare together before the ceremony begins.
The covered outdoor Terrace with its open fireplace is the perfect space for cocktail hours and post dinner drinks. It seats up to 200 guests in cocktail style and is a particularly popular feature for autumn and winter weddings.
MILA offers a perfectly manicured, naturally elegant, outdoor ceremony option featuring a decorative stone wall with candlelight accents. The ceremony fee includes the ceremony chairs, set up, full breakdown and flip of the space between the ceremony and reception so couples can keep their entire wedding day at one location.
Included in every bookin: tables, chairs, house linens, china, flatware and glassware. Guests arrive to a fully set, polished room - no rental coordination required for the essentials. Upgrade options available.
A Sonos sound system is available throughout the venue for background music during cocktail hours and dinner. Complimentary WiFi is provided for couples and guests throughout the event.
A dedicated coat check is available for guests, a practical and appreciated detail for New Hampshire's cooler-season weddings.
